Which toothpaste is best in India? (Toothpaste ranked from containing most number of harmful chemicals to least) Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfinWpg9MYY

  1. Colgate, Pepsodent, Closeup
    • Contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which may cause skin irritation, mouth ulcer. SLS is an insecticide and is also used in detergents.
    • Amount of Fluoride is excessively high in these toothpastes. It is slightly poisonous. Hence it is written on cover that it should not be swallowed.
  2. Sensodyne, Patanjali Dant Kanti
    • Better than Category 1 of Colgate, Pepsodent, Closeup cause it doesn’t contain SLS.
    • But, Fluoride is still present in thes toothpaste.
    • Sensodyne also has artificial colours and artificial preservatives.
  3. Himalaya Sparkling White. Ayush Toothpaste.
    • No SLS. It is non fluoridated foaming toothpaste.
    • Artificial colours and preservatives are present.
  4. Dabur Meswak
    • Contains SLS. but non fluoridated.
    • Contains harmful Triclosen chemicals (linked to cancer, it is also in Colgate total)
  5. Dabur Laal
    • No SLS, Fluoride, artificial colours.
    • Has Preservatives.
  6. Vicco Vajradanti
    • No SLS, Fluoride, artificial colours, no preservatives.
    • Preferable for kids as well.

Which is the best Soap in India? (Ranked from containing most number of harmful chemicals to least) Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgx6nHUNILg

  1. Dettol, Pears, Lifebuoy, Lux, ITC Flama, ITC Vivel, Park Avenue have around 8-10 harmful chemicals in them.
  2. Hamam, Rexona, Liril, Chinthol have around 5-8 harmful chemicals.
  3. Dove, Medimix, Santoor, Margo, Mysore Sandal, Chandrika, Himalaya Almond & Rose only 2-3 harmful chemicals.
  4. Ayush, Biotique claim to be non-cosmetic therapeutic soaps. Only around 20% of their contents are mentioned in ingredients. So, we are not sure if has any harmful chemicals.
  5. Patanjali Multani Mitti Soap made out of natural content only. Other Patanjali Soaps have harmful chemicals.

  1. Garnier, TRESemme, Head & Shoulders, L’oreal, Pentene, Dove, Clinic Plus, Clinic All Clear, Sunsilk, Himalya Anti Dandruff, Dabur Vatika, Nyle Natural, Kesh King, Meera, Karthika, Park Avenue Beer Shampoo: All have more than 10 harmful chemicals in them. Most include the Sodium Loureth Sulphate which is basically detergent.
  2. Johnson’s baby, Wow Apple Cidar Vineger shampoo: 5-6 harmful chemicals. Wow doesn’t have Sulphate.
  3. Ayush, Biotique, Patanjali: Mention only 10% ingredients.
  4. Khadi Natural, Juicy Chemistry anti hairfall, Goli Soda Shampoo, Vilvah Goat milk, Just Herbs Soya Protein, the moms co, Rustic Art, Havintha Natural Hair Shampoo, Earthy Sapo, Jeevan Ras Mukti Gold Shampoo: No harmful chemicals.

  2. L’oreal, Head & Shoulder, WOW: 5-7 Harsh chemicals.
  3. Ayush, Biotique, Patanjali: Only 10-20% ingredients are mentioned.

  2. Garnier Men, Fair & Lovely, Pond’s, Clean & Clear, X-Men: Most of these are free from Sulphates (which is basically detergent), but have 5-7 harmful chemicals.
  3. Ayush, Biotique, Bajaj Nomarks, Himalaya, VLCC, Patanjali: Only 10-20% of ingredients are mentioned in ingredients.
  4. Aroma Magic Neem and Tea Tree, Rustic Art Rejuvenate, Gulnare Pump Skin: No toxic chemicals.

  1. VLCC, Lakme, Lotus, Joy, Gernier, Nivea, Vaseline: 8-10 harmful chemical, some can interfere with thyroid gland.
